Using the Style Designer in FrontPage
The Style Designer enables you to easily change the appearance of your web page and make it really stand out in the crowd. With the Style Designer, you are able to specify the colours, fonts, sizes and positions of your entire website content, headings, navigation bar, content title, paragraph and many more. All changes are easy to make using the drag and drop features on the Design view pane of the Website Design tool in Microsoft Front Page. There are numerous themes that can be applied to your page, which can be easily undone using the undo button in the Style Designer window.
Style Designer also enables you to select different font styles for the headings, text and background of the pages. Once you have selected the appropriate font style for a page, all the other content in that page will automatically begin to display in that desired style. For example, if you have selected Times New Roman as your default style for your text and navigation, it will display in that font in the default color of blue. If you instead select Arial or Helvetica, it will display in those colors.
To use the Style Designer, first, the designer will need to be installed on your computer, either by downloading it from Microsoft or by using the software that comes with FrontPage. Next, open FrontPage and click on the “style designer” icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. This will take you to a new page, where you will be able to modify your web page. To use the Style Designer, first, click on the “modify” link which is located next to the words “view” and “edit”. Then, click on the “new” link to insert a new design.
